Key Characteristics, Competencies and Skills Ability to travel 30% mostly domestic visiting job site locations. Ability to manage cost account management and reporting. Proficiency with project management and accounting tools. Basic knowledge of industry standards such as electrical codes such as the CEC, NEC or certification standards such as CSA, UL, IEC is a plus. Experience in at least one significant heavy industrial EPC/EPCM project is preferred. Experience managing multi discipline projects in industrial construction project management or leading "Engineer to Order" and "Configure to Order" Operations with high levels of customer service is a plus. Responsible for manning and designation of construction crew's composition required for installation and construction contracts. Coordinate material requirements with the Project Designer and Construction Manager. Control and account for all materials and equipment utilized on the project. Oversee the subcontracts and the scope of work for each trade of a particular project.
Monitor the job progress and report findings to all involved participants.Maintain communication with Construction Manager regarding contracts. Supervise the installation of construction contracts.Create and monitor project cost controls and a working budget.Prepare a reasonable plan of action for building projects, including understanding the estimate, gathering data from subcontractors, outlining the scope of work, and purchasing the trades.Direct the organization and implementation of project continuity.Develop a schedule to be utilized in the preparation of progress billings, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely receipt of payments.Review, understand and comply with project contractual agreements.Review construction estimates and proposals.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include Defines the management, goal definitions, target setting and leadership of the Project Management team and is responsible for the business objectives under this scope of responsibilities.
The Project Manager is responsible for all business activities related to P roject Management for the Region and/or location.
